Needed to replace our AC unit which was 22 and failing. We also wanted to update to an electric heat pump heating and AC system. Our first quote from another company seemed high. We got a second quote from Vital Comfort in part because they are on the list for SMUD rebate program. Vitaliy was easily to work with, straight forward, and completed our project quickly for a third of the price quoted by the other company. He coordinated our rebates so that we paid the “after rebate” price right from the start. We have been toasty all winter with lower energy bills than years prior, and are ready for a Sacramento summer with our cooling system. Highly recommend Vital Comfort!
We called Vitaly this past Sunday after our AC went out the night prior. He was with his family (did I mention it was Sunday?) but said he'd come help us anyway! It was 90+ degrees out and we've got little ones so this qualified as an emergency in our eyes! Vitaly didn't hesitate. He dropped what he was doing and came all the way out to Folsom and within 30min of being there we had nice cool air flowing into our home. It was safe to bring the kids home again! We had a great experience with Vital Comfort! They gave us a very competitive price for a full system replacement and were incredibly friendly and honest throughout the entire process. We got over 5 quotes from companies in the Sacramento area and they were the only company to give us a reasonable estimate, generous warranty, give us only what we needed and DIDN’T TRY TO UPSELL US (thank goodness) and facilitate rebates from SMUD and the state. Their team did a thorough, high-quality job and made sure everything was done right. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and professional HVAC service.

Vitaliy was out of town for a conference and I didn’t know it. But he was highly recommended by a friend, so I texted him. He got back to me anyway, even called! He knew what I needed and immediately when he returned home, he was here looking at what I had, discussed my options and I made a decision. Within 3 days of his return, he removed the old system and installed the new one! He’s knowledgeable, honest and a very hard worker. And he charged less than my estimate from other companies!
Great all around experience. I needed a new HVAC system and wanted to convert from gas to electric heat pump. I got multiple bids and Vital Comfort was competitive and Vitaliy answered all my questions and was very friendly and responsive. I definitely recommend him, he stayed late to almost 9 pm so we had heat for the night. Friendly and professional too.
Last year Vital Comfort installed a Fujitsu heat pump at our house. The unit is working as well as the day it was installed almost a year ago. We are super happy with their service and workmanship. Throughout the process Vitaliy kept us informed and up to date on every step of the installation. We had several vendors provide estimates for the replacement. Vital Comfort installed a Mitsubishi ducted mini-split system in our 1938 home. The system is quiet, efficient and comfortable. I needed to replace my a/c system because it stopped working and decided to switch from gas to an electric heat pump system. I was able to take advantage of SMUD's rebate for replacing the a/c and gas furnace HVAC with a multi-stage electric heat pump HVAC. He took care of all the paperwork and made the whole process seamless. He was the most affordable out of the 5 estimates I received. Even with supply chain issues going on everywhere, he was able to get my whole system installed and completed earlier than expected.
What an absolute delight to work with Vital Comfort during One of the most busiest times and in the middle of a heat wave. Not only was he super attentive, he was prompt and swift. The troubleshooting that he went through before ultimately replacing the entire unit was awesome and very much appreciated. Basically he did everything he could to keep the cost down and improve the issue rather than jump to conclusion that new equipment was needed. On top of all of that, he followed up and even did analysis after every task he completed. I did not have to reach out to him myself, he took it upon himself to ensure things were working. And when they were not, he was quick to complete the overall solution. The amount of trust that I have in this small business and in Vitali himself is probably most impressive. After seeking out estimates from over five different contractors to replace our HVAC system and complete other upgrades through the SMUD rebate program, Vitaly was the PERFECT choice. We talked at length about options that would balance efficacy and energy efficiency. Vital Comfort is a SMUD provider for installing a heat pump HVAC system. They are the only one to provide a variable speed system from Bosch, which was highly recommended by SMUD. Vitaliy is the owner, and he personally did all the work. It was a pleasure to work with him. He was responsive and answered all my questions. They also provided everything I needed to take advantage of a $3000 rebate from SMUD. Thanks for a good job!
Although we didn’t have to hire Vitaly for an HVAC project, we were extremely impressed with his extensive knowledge and honest advice (especially as he wasn’t obligated to share it with us!) We asked him to check out our HVAC system as we were experiencing poor air quality in our house and investigating its source. (We suspected air leaks from the attic and/or air ducts.) After contacting numerous attic, HVAC, and home performance specialists, we soon became tired of the upsells, lack of answers, and suspicious diagnoses (including an urgent need to replace our entire HVAC system, although it was functioning fine). Vitaly stood out by clearly stating that despite having an older system and ducts, there wasn’t anything wrong with them. Instead of just leaving it at that, Vitaly took the time to discuss possible pollution sources and how we could address the air quality ourselves. He also shared his perspectives on home performance, air sealing and insulation. Vitaly even identified an open bay in our attic that none of the attic insulators mentioned! We were amazed that he was actually spending time trying to solve the issue rather than selling us something or bragging about how great he was. We’re relieved that our system is fine at the moment, but if we ever have issues in the future we’ll definitely call Vital Comfort!

Vitaly fixed my unit during his first visit, and after two other service companies tried and failed. He has a great fundamental understanding of HVAC systems. He is capable, friendly and patient.
Vitaly did an excellent job installing central heating and cooling in my home. I had gotten about 8 central heating and cooling quotes and Vitaly very professional, respectful, not pushy, and knowledgeable. He had ideas and options no one else presented and also listened to my input and concerns and took them into consideration. Vitaly took his time with the installation, was reliable, and was excellent at communicating with me leading up to, during, and after the installation. I wanted to finance through the REEL program and he worked with them and me so that I could finance with the group I wanted to. I am thrilled with the outcome and my A/C has been top notch! I don't know how he did it but the ducted central A/C is the quietest A/C I've ever had! I can barely hear it even when I shut all noises off and listen for it, and I sometimes can't even hear it then. I will absolutely be recommending him to anyone who is searching for A/C work or installation. He is on time, keeps your house clean, very nice, and goes above and beyond. The quality of work, and level of professionalism and customer service is worth much more than he charges; he does the best possible job. I've had a lot of work done on this home and Vitaly ranks among the top in quality, professionalism, customer service, and value. I would hire him for any service that he provides or now or in the future with immense confidence. Vitaly and his company are truly a rare find. When my hearing wouldn’t blow hot air recently (2025 edit), he came and fixed it very quickly. Again, excellent service and a great guy.
What a great company! I contacted them at 10am because our AC broke down... not pleasant when it’s 108F outside! He came over at around 11:30. Super friendly and super polite, it took him only five minutes to figure out what’s wrong with our AC. He had the needed part in his truck... 15 min later my A/C was running again! They charge me $125, other companies in the past charged $100 just to come out to see what’s wrong with the unit. I can strongly recommend this place.

After 3 weeks & nine estimates later from $8,000 to $20,000 4 company’s said they would meet Vital Comfort estimate of $11,300 after rebate of $750 on a Borsch 3 ton Variable unit... including the estimate for $20,000 for the same unit...at least I knew with Vital Comfort who I talked to also would be installing unit...not so with other company’s...Along with SMUD HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Very satisfied!

I would highly recommend Vital Comfort. I opted for a gas to electric conversion on my home and went with the Bosch Variable System. Vitaliy is detailed oriented and very patient (I ask tons of questions). A few adjustments needed to be made to my unit after install. Vitaliy came back without hesitation, wanting to ensure my unit is working properly and efficiently. This is a great company to work with!
Vital Comfort replaced the original airducts from 1969 with R-8 flexible ducts. The air quality has improved significantly since then.
Vital Comfort was super. They came to the house, told me that my heating and air worked fine ( I had been told by another company that I needed a new system ). They saved me money. When my system goes out, I will be giving all my business to Vital Comfort.
Courteous . Knowledgeable. Tested every component of the AC to find the root of the failure. Didn’t try to sell extra product. A lot of AC guys are flight by night with rudimentary knowledge of electronics. This guy is the real deal. A+. Will recommend to my friends and family.
I sent a text message over the weekend describing the problem (AC not working but fan working) and what part of town. He was out to me on Monday to ID and fix the problem. He IDed the problem quickly, was able to find the replacement part nearby and fixed it later that day. I went from my house indoor temp being equal to outdoor temp, to indoor temp being 26°F colder than outdoor temp, within a day of the repair. The price is very reasonable considering the parts, skilled labor, and prompt service.
Vital comfort was one if many (7) bids that we considered when our 30 year old system began to fail. We decided to install a heat pump system for efficiency and to take advantage of the SMUD rebate. With the assistance of staff at SMUD we were given several names of professionals that had experience installing heat pump systems. Vitaliy was prompt to respond to our request for an evaluation and estimate. He patiently endured our many questions during our decision making process. His bid was comprehensive and one of the lowest bids we received. Although cost was a factor, we chose Vitaliy because of his easy going manner and knowledge of the equipment. He overcame unforeseen structural issues with our home and was always cordial and easy to work with. We would, without hesitation, recommend Vitaliy if you are considering replacing your HVAC system.

Life Savers! 👏👏👏 So my baby boy was born about 3 weeks ago, and it's the end of November. The weather's getting really cold, and the heater is turning on often, until all of a sudden, it stops. 😳 1 night goes by, and the temperature inside drops to 60°, getting cold 🥶 for the baby. So the next day, after troubleshooting, found out that the furnace inducer was shot, contacted Vitaliy, and he found a perfect replacement part real quick, got it all fixed up same day and the heater is working great 👍 Now we're all warm and cozy and don't have to worry about my infant getting cold at night.
